Please help stop the government letting the elderly living on their own and people living on their own like me water company’s like Yorkshire water change you if you don’t have a water meter £58.00 to £60.00 a month water rates when they know you live on your own if you have a water meter it only costs you on average £21.00 a month this happened to me for five years in 2016 I informed Yorkshire water I lived on my own as I have just lost my wife to cancer they didn’t advise me that having a water meter fitted would be cheaper for me because they would lose on average £40.00 a month when I realised I asked them for a rebate and was told to go forth as they don’t do rebates I proved to them I lived on my own and haven’t used their fertility’s they have charged me for so I was told the government sets the charges for them  this is a rule made by the government in 1990 and is set on a property with 2 adults and 2 children we the British public need to change this rule in parliament so we stop getting ripped off by the water company’s if you live on your own in a property without a meter PLEASE SIGN MY PETITION
