The Issue

Dear Rabbi Twersky,

This is not a formal letter.
This is not a routine message.

This is a heartfelt plea — from individuals, from couples, from a community that has felt your presence in the moments that mattered most.

You may see yourself as simply doing your role.
But to so many, you are so much more.

You are the one who answered when others couldn’t.
The one who listened without judgment.
The one who stepped in quietly, consistently, and with genuine care when people felt alone, overwhelmed, and uncertain.

For countless couples, you are not just part of Bonei Olam —
you are the experience of Bonei Olam.

You brought warmth into a space that could have felt clinical.
You brought humanity into moments that could have felt cold.
You brought strength when people didn’t have any left.

You didn’t just help individuals —
you built trust.
You built relationships.
You built a sense of community that people leaned on when they needed it most.

And that cannot be replaced.

If you step away, something real will be missing.
Not just structurally — but deeply, emotionally, and personally.

There will be voices that go unanswered the same way.
There will be people who feel the absence, even if they can’t fully explain it.

Because what you’ve given is not a position —
it’s a presence.

We understand that you may have your reasons.
We respect that your time and energy are not infinite.

But we are asking you — sincerely, openly, and with full hearts:

Please stay.

Stay for the couples who still need you.
Stay for the ones who haven’t yet picked up the phone.
Stay for the community you helped build — and that still leans on you more than you may realize.

Because Bonei Olam without you is not the same.
And for many of us, neither are we.

With deep appreciation, respect, and hope,
