For far too long apprentices have gone through apprenticeships with little to no communication from their Solas training adviser. When there are problems or issues Solas seem to be very hard to get in contact with and when you do get in contact getting a solution seems near impossible. I know from my own experience that getting information or clarity from Solas is impossible. I personally think it is time that we as a group of apprentices come together and start asking for a change. It is our future and we should be given every possible chance to get through it with the help and support that every other form of education gets. For one example. All other forms of exams have past exam papers that are freely available to purchase and use as a reference guide when studying. But for us we only get these through "what's app" groups and we are told we should not have any. It's time for some change and we need to get some answers.
