KM Dub started this petition to YouTube and

As many of you already know, YouTube now requires Content Creators to say if their videos are for kids or not for kids. While that may seem simple at first, it is actually quite the opposite.
Saying your videos are for kids removes the comment section, getting recommended or searched up on YouTube, notifications, and even up to 70-90% of ad revenue by removing personalized ads.
But if the FTC thinks your video is for kids when it may not be, the Creator could be fined up to $42,530 per violation!!!
Most of us Content Creators probably make videos that include things the FTC said qualifies as "for kids" (for example, games, animation, sports, anything colorful, animated, or that may appeal to a child), but do not aim our videos at kids or intend for that to be our main audience. Most of our videos are for everyone. Kids or adults.
A mixed audience.
YouTube was going to add a "Mixed Audience" option, but removed it for a reason that I am not currently aware of.
However, YouTube needs to add it in, as it would save thousands of millions of users from a lot of stress and worry, as well as those who are currently contemplating moving to another video platform.
The "mixed audience" option does exist in the law, but YouTube isn't making it available to its users, which is why I ask that you please sign this petition and share it, so that Google (the owners of YouTube) sees this and adds in the "Mixed Audience" option that we all very much need.
