Greed and abuse follow Aspen Medical across the globe. I unfortunately have been a victim of their greed when my wife died in one of their hospitals during the early months of the pandemic. Unfortunately, I am not the only person who tells this story, many others had the same experience of losing a loved one due to Aspen Medicals poor healthcare operations. The Lautoka Hospital in Fiji was meant to have structural upgrades that would help the developing pandemic, but they were behind on development. Their logistical mistake caused the loss of my wife and thousands of other precious individuals.
Recently I have moved to Port Moresby only to see that they operate here as well. Aspen Medical has a history of seeking out poor healthcare systems, offering their services as a Hail Mary and collecting millions of dollars while doing the minimal amount of work.
Why should you care? Our governments should have the citizens best interests and have failed to hold this healthcare system accountable. I grew up in an island where people cared and help one another out, where we spoke up for wrong doings and held one another accountable for a better future.
