A formal apology from the Britain government

A formal apology from the Britain government
Why this petition matters
Dear Indian government, please look into the matter and take necessary action.
During the British rule in India for over 200 hundred years, British committed so many inhumane crimes against Indian people.
Many of which, one such is Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, also called as Massacre of Amritsar, incident on April 13, 1919, in which British troops fired on a large crowd of unarmed Indians in an open space known as the Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar in the Punjab of India, killing 1000+ people and wounding many hundreds more. The people gathered peacefully to protest against the arrest of pro-Indian independence leaders Dr. Saifuddin Kitchlew and Dr. Satya Pal under Rowlott Act of 1919.
It's been over hundred years, Many attempts were made to get a formal apology from the Britain government. Many Britons visited the Massacre site such as Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Former PM David Cameron and many other Britons but none of them given a formal apology. Instead they said "shameful act of British Empire, regrettable, cruel and utterly inhumane" but they fall short of giving an apology.
Sign this petition, British Government and Royal family must give formal apology for the massacre, as such German Chancellor Willy Brandt had done at the Warsaw Ghetto in Poland as a gesture of humility and penance in light of the horrors of the Holocaust
