A Daughters plea …Justice For Ferlando Esco
Why this petition matters

Hello, my name is Ferlandria Porter and I am writing this letter pleading for “YOUR HELP TO FREE” my FATHER, Mr. Ferlando ESCO, of Canton Mississippi. I was only 10 years old in the year of 2005, when my father’s life was taken away from him by the Madison County Mississippi Circuit Court, where he was given (6) multiple life without the possibility of parole. My father was charged with and illegally convicted of: (i ) Aggravated Assault,; (ii) Conspiracy to commit Aggravated Assault; (iii) Conspiracy to commit Arm Robbery; (iv.) Armed Robbery ; (v.) Felony Fleeing and (vi.) Possession of a Fire Arm. All of which are the reasons why I am pleading for your help to free my Father. No, I’m neither a Lawyer nor Politician, however, after doing an inspection of the news clips and papers from my Father’s files, I feel my father deserves another chance at life. Not because he is guilty and/or rightfully incarcerated of the crimes charged. But, because he is truly innocent and has been victimized. His life has been illegally taken and no one seems to either notice or care except the Family. This year will make the 18 year that my Father has been illegally incarcerated. I am crying out for help because I believe in change and I know that somewhere out there are people, even others who has either experienced this evil or is now under going such as a Family or friend. Being my Father has thus far weathered this agonizing journey, I can appreciate the changes he has undergone as a person. Indeed, “everyone “ in life has a past and everyone in life grows from their mistakes. The crimes my Father has been illegally convicted of are not anyone of his past life errors that he has to atone for. No, my Father is the victim of fabricated Evidence. An alleged co- defendant was coerced into falsely testifying false versions implicating My father. They promised him twelve years if he provided false testimony against my Father. A lady, Ms. Kristy Johnson, the then manager of the establishment where the crimes took place, being present, took the orders and waited on the men whom was seen committing the crime, was taken to a physical lineup and there told the police that my Father was not one of the 3 men seen committing the crimes. But Ms. Johnson ands identification Evidence is no where to be found among his clips nor files. She was an eye witness. Whatever she told Law Enforcement should have been formally reported. But his Jury never heard about that. On his documents I found that he was convicted by a jury of unequally balanced jury. And after reading about how my Father was sentenced, I’ve become appalled. I am now twenty-seven years old with a two year old baby boy. My siblings and I have suffered without a Father here basically all our lives. My twin brothers who were 5 years old when our Father went to prison are now 22 years old . My sister was 8 years old then and now she’s twenty-four years of age. They now have their own children and rearing their own families. Whenever we take our children to visit with my Father, they are so excited to meet their Paw- Paw. I just love to see my Father interact with his grandchildren. But it also hurts because the moments don’t are just that, fleeting moments. Ones that I wish I could grasp and bake the remain. Once visit was over my two year old son O’mari and my two years old nephew Frederius cried because they wanted their grandfather to come home with them and to see the hurt in my Father’s eyes as we had to walk away really touches the depths of my soul and for these additional reasons, I am crying out for help in bringing my Father home to his family of which he rightfully belongs. My father may have had a past when he was younger, no different then many of us, but to be imprisoned for over seventeen years for crimes of which he didn’t commit, does not equate justice to him nor us, his Family. A crime has been committed and continues to be committed not just against my Father but also against us. I have seen a man who has truly became a better version of himself then what they say he was once before. In this world today, so many Fathers are absent from their family lives due to their bad decisions as a misguided child. My Father was not one of those misguided children , but he was and is the victim of a horrible injustice, and I have witnessed this generation of fatherless children follow the same cycle because of them being misguided without a father. This cycle has to stop as well as the injustices that plagues our households due to the evils I see in his files. Today as always, I beg for Justice, yes I beg for your help to free my Father and make our Family whole again. My father is not only a Father to me, but now a Grandfather to his children, children. A Family man who has served a very lengthy illegal sentence and deserves the wrong to be righted. Please help not only me but the world to regain confidence in the America ensures Justice for all. Because I believe there is hope for my father and others that have served time for their false convictions which, has been justified by some past failures in life, don’t let that stop you from having your voice heard in this quest for my Father’s freedom. WE SHALL OVERCOME someday I pray.
Respectfully,
Ferlandria Porter
