ALLEGED RACIST VERBAL ATTACK FOLLOWING POP WARNER GAMES TRIGGERS INVESTIGATION BY ATHLETIC ORGANIZATION ONLY AFTER VIDEO GOES VIRAL

HAMDEN HURRICANES from Hamden,CT-- who recently returned from the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Orlando, Florida, where the team took part in the games -- are grateful the National Pop Warner Organization issued a statement of condemnation Thursday night, and a pledge to investigate, after a video began circulating on social media showing adults using "racist and threatening language towards coaches from another team" at an Orlando hotel on December 3rd, where players, coaches, parents and staff from different Pop Warner teams were staying as part of the games.

"The video clearly shows an adult shouting racial slurs at our group and there is no excuse for that type of behavior," says Hamden hurricanes who was at the hotel when the encounter took place. "We are  glad the National Pop Warner Organization issued a statement of condemnation against the behavior seen in this video -- and promised to investigate."

Three minutes and twenty-two seconds into the video [3:22], an adult is seen shouting, "A bunch of f------g n------s". 

The National Pop Warner Organization issued the following statement Thursday night December 15 after have video since morning of December 4th

"A video has come to our attention showing adults, reported to be associated with a Pop Warner team, using racist and threatening language towards coaches from another team. The disturbing behavior shown in the video is inconsistent with our code of conduct and the expectations we have of our adult volunteers.  Pop Warner will hold an investigative hearing into the matter next week. If the panel finds that any of the adults engaging in the verbal assault are in fact associated with a Pop Warner team, they will be subject to disciplinary action, including suspension from Pop Warner activity. One thing is clear: the abhorrent conduct and language exhibited in this video are unacceptable. Our organization is committed to a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all young people and their families. No one should ever encounter this kind of behavior. We will take all measures necessary to address the situation 

Despite Pop Warner's statement Thursday night, the organization has not checked on the young players or their families, or apologized. 

please sign or share this petition asking  the regional (Rich photos & etc…)board of pop Warner that brushed this under the rug and made it a issue for national pop Warner to address and who still allowed this team to be apart of their tournaments step down . We are looking to promote a safer future in fundamental football for our kids from all walks of life. 12 year olds should not be told to go back to the ‘ ghetto ‘ by players or coaches for working hard at their dreams and aspirations. We can not continue to desensitize ourselves from the evils of this world that are only continuing to grow! In order to teach our children to be kind and loving to one another it starts somewhere! Someone has to stand up and be the catapult for change at any costs . We have to be willing to stand up to anyone and stand up for our children and this type of verbal abuse is unacceptable and unwarranted and should not go ignored.
