CGHS Retirees: In Patient treatment in Private empanneled Hospital is virtually cashless
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Generally, it is found that the private empanneled Hospitals are asking the CGHS Retired beneficiary admitted in an emergency or his/ her attendants to either deposit some money on different pretexts that the CGHS is not reimbursing some of the treatment charges or ask to purchase the items such as medicines/ sundries/ equipment or accessories from outside open market for the treatment of patient in the hospital which is violation and causes harassment/ irritation as the treatment is to be done by the hospital within the package rate, fixed by the CGHS which includes the cost of all the items. However, the following are not admissible: Telephone charges/ Toiletries/ Sanitary napkins/ Talcum power/ Mouth fresheners. Some of the Retirees are hand to mouth and cannot afford to pay the money or some may not have at night so CGHS beneficiary is deprive of the treatment by the hospital. Private empaneled Hospital of the CGHS are required to provide virtually cashless treatment to the Retirees admitted in an emergency.
If you come across any such situation where the Private empanneled Hospital has asked to deposit the money from anyone, please feel free to take my advice/ guidance or solution as to how to deal in a situation from 10 AM to 6 PM. If call is not responded then send message on whatsapp. God is great. A S Chauhan. Mobile 9818707559, Delhi.
