8th Grade Kawameeh Dance
8th Grade Kawameeh Dance
Why this petition matters
Later today after school, all 8th-grade Kawameeh students received an email about the upcoming school dance from our principal. He stated that we would have our dance in the school gymnasium and that it is not a formal event but outfits have to meet the dress code. As many of you guys know, Burnet Middle School is having their school dance at a venue in Clark, NJ and they get to have a semi-formal dine-in. Being from a student's point of view that attends Kawameeh Middle School, we say that it is unfair that we don't get to have our dance formal and the least we get for dinner is chips, cookies, and sodas. This 8th grade dance was supposed to be entertaining and enjoyable. It was supposed to be a night for all of us to remember later in the future. While one part of Union Middle School has a venue, meals, and a formal dance that doesn't follow the dress code, the other part of the school has a small gym with no air conditioning. Therefore, our gym will be crowded with individuals, ensuring that we will be in tight spaces.
If you are willing to help us and stand up for what we believe is right, please sign this petition!
Sincerely, The 8th grade Kawameeh students
