Our social and business lives are centred around mobile communication, whether that be through mobile internet, calls, or text messaging. However, a lack of a solid, reliable signal can render simple tasks on your mobile device, such as checking emails, text messages, or even making a call virtually impossible.
This is the daily struggle experienced by residents of Kelvin Manor situated on 17 Southway Street in Kelvin, an area which is in close proximity to Sandton. Simple tasks such as receiving and making phone calls, accessing internet from our mobile and other devices is a daily struggle for residents. Our complex houses a variety of people from working professionals, families including children of school growing age all of whom good internet access is integral to their daily activities.
For the past two years, the complex management has made several requests to 8ta to improve network coverage in the area but to date no positive response has been received. It is for this reason that as your valued customers, we have taken the decision to escalate this problem by drawing up this petition.
All the signatures to this petition are 8ta customers who are affected by the poor reception and weak signal at Kelvin Manor. As your customers, we request that please investigate and provide us with a workable solution that will provide us with a quality signal while we are at this location.
Our request is as follows:
1. As a short term solution, 8ta must to tilt their antennas towards Kelvin Manor and increase its radios output power;
2. A more permanent solution be put in place to improve network coverage in the area.
As paying customers, should this situation not improve, we will not hesitate to move to your competitors’ networks. We sincerely trust and hope that our business is valuable to your business and that 8ta will provide a quick and quality solution to the problem detailed herein.
