Sign this petition to state that we do not want the 5th District Republican Nominee decided by a closed nominating process limited to only the 37 members of the District Committee. There are rumors circulating that this is the direction our district is heading. Even if these are just rumors, we should make it clear this is not the process we should use. With over 700,000 people living in our district, such an important decision being restricted to such a small number is wrong and undemocratic.  Making the nominating process closed disenfranchises hundreds of delegates signed up for the convention. Even given the circumstances the corona-virus entails, we can do better than limiting this process to only 37 members of the electorate.
