The pandemic has been particularly tough for students as well as teachers, now with more pressure on mocks exams due to the importance in them deciding our grades we need more then just 3 weeks to prepare. It is extremely difficult to be revising and keeping up with the huge amount of work set over distance learning - having to be on a screen for 6-7 hours a day completing school work and revision on top of that is very challenging for students’ mental health. Mocks should be after the Easter holidays mirroring multiple other schools who are giving students a fair amount of time to prepare. Students’ mental health should be considered after the huge amount of stress recent events have placed us under, we need time to get back to normality and then mocks can be sat when students are sufficiently prepared.
