I am a single mother of three with six grandchildren. I've was going to school for my RN BSN. Over the years life as required all of my attention and I wasn't able to finish. This was of course after taking on 40,000 in predatory student loan depts. These depts have affected my credit score for years. I've been unable to buy a house among everything. Like most Americans who were or aren't unable to finish their education why should I (we) continue to be penalized by the federal government. I was MADE to take on student loans. I was told by the local community college that Pell grants are only offered for a period of time, and that I would have to take out loans to finish. From that point I had to take out loans to go to school. Being a single parent raising my children on my own was difficult enough. Then add the demands of obtaining a college education. Well do the math. Why should I not be able to live the American dream for the rest of my life , for a loan I'll never be able to pay off. Let's loudly and quickly let President Biden hear our voices and get the 50,000 amount approved for student loan forgiveness.
