Dear Croydon Management,
We hope you are doing well. First, we'd like to thank you for letting us make Croydon Hall our home (for several years for some of us). Your building is comfortable, and your staff treats us like family.
We wanted to bring you a proposal. We have been hearing that the North dog courtyard may not be reopening for dogs. The dog yard was one of the amenities that attracted many residents to Croydon Hall, and we are requesting reconsidering this decision (if it is indeed final).
Most of us are working professionals or students with limited time and it has been a huge convenience to be able to take our dogs out quickly before going to work. We also really enjoyed going to the yard to let our furry friends play with each other while we chatted with our neighbors. It helped build a community, and helped us make friends.
The rumor of the courtyard potentially closing for dogs comes as a shock to many of us. We had a short notice that the dog yard would be closed for re-beautification, for what we thought would be a short, temporary period. As residents and members of a community, we expected to be included in a conversation about alternatives as part of the planning.
We would like to propose a conversation where we could perhaps bring different ideas to the table, regarding keeping the dog yard while beautifying Croydon Hall.
We look forward to hearing from you.
