Us student in the Des Moines school district believe that a 4 day week and 30 minutes added to the 4 days will help our learning and give us better education students at my school feel that our school week is stressful. As I see my fellow classmates can’t even stay awake in our classes Because they are forced stay up late to finish homework or even having to do homework in our free time that is supposed to give us a break from school during the day i feel that a 4 day week and a 3 day weekend can help take some stress and let us have a better learning environment In my district even though I do not know much about the other schools in our district I have heard that our schools our very similar so I believe that everyone in des moines would like this change. I have came up with rules of this petition. 1: The day would add 30 minutes to the day 2: Teachers would keep the same pay and number 3: Teachers can use this day to plan and make lessons do the next week.
