Gun control is dead. The Second Amendment clearly allows for American citizens to keep and bear arms. It is extremely difficult to fight against personal firearm ownership in the U.S. But the fact remains that we have to do whatever we can to fight gun violence. This petition aims to address gun violence without arguing for fewer firearms, or surrendering of any weapons. This petition introduces ammunition control. Firearms require ammo. It is nearly impossible to imagine gun control working in this country. We love guns (present company included). Controlling ammo instead of firearms means folks can still buy the gun - as many as they want! It means reducing the amount of ammunition in circulation. It means making it more difficult to hoard ammo. Ammunition can be dispersed much quicker and more efficiently than guns in the event of an emergency. 
This petition is proposing ammunition control measures like restricting the amount of ammo individuals can acquire and keep, requiring only licensed dealers (certified gun ranges) to be allowed to sell/transfer ammo, etc. This petition allows for unhindered competitive and recreational shooting.
