20th Century Fox: Remove Dubbed Voices for Walking with Dinosaurs 3D
The new trailer to Walking with Dinosaurs 3D disturbs the film's intent to portray nature as it happened with a cheesy dubbed voiceover to pander to the kids. The dinosaurs actually talk in this trailer, but without moving their mouths. It is clear that the voices were put in to pander to the kids. Walking with Dinosaurs was originally made for the BBC to educate viewers on how life was for dinosaurs back when they existed. This film, as evidenced by the international trailer, was meant to educate viewers on the same subject with a subtle narration. This is done through telling the narrative story of a young dinosaur without dialogue or jokes. But the US trailer adds in corny jokes and anthropomorphizes its subjects to the point where the beauty of nature is disrupted. Imagine if they took other nature documentaries like March of The Penguins and put words in the animals' mouths to pander to a young audience. Please make it so that US audiences don't have to be pandered to. Make it so that they can appreciate nature as it was without a grating voice over.
