The Rathfriland Road is a busy road, used by many people on a daily basis and a key route in and out of Dromara.

It is a twisty road with many corners and hazards. It also has a local Primary School and Orange Hall.

I believe that there should be a 20Mph School Safety Limit outside the Primary School and for the stretch of road from the bad bend just before Dree Hill and after the Orange Hall should be changed to a 30Mph.

It is such a bad bend that some may think it impossible to speed on it, but sadly some do.

There are many other schools in Lagan Valley with a 20Mph speed limit and I think this should apply here.

The 30Mph speed limit will also help reduce speed on a busy stretch of the road.
