For many years the year 10 students have gone to Phillip Island for their year level camp. This year the camp has been changed to a hike/canoe down the Murray river. The year 10 camp has always been an incredible experience for students in the past, and a highlight of the year. Unsurprisingly, the change in location for the camp has been met with great dismay and little enthusiasm. 

Last year we had wilderness which taught each one of us skills in camping, hiking and outdoor survival. To add to this, the year 7 and 8 camps also included a combination of hiking, tenting and rafting.

It is collectively felt that our year level does not desperately need any more outdoor camps, and a stay at Phillip Island building community and seeing more of the coastal land would be enjoyed much more than any raft down a river.
