You may have noticed, or at least heard rumors, that the 2019 Fitch High School Tantara will not have senior quotes in it. Sadly, it's true, and if you're anything like me, you're furious. You've probably been thinking about what your senior quote is going to be for years, and now you won't have one! Senior quotes are a TRADITION, and traditions should never be broken. The Class of 2019 has had all Fitch traditions taken away from us, from painting the field house, taking the '19' class photo, and finally getting senior quotes in this years yearbook. Why, you may ask? Simply because previous classes have screwed up. All of these things ripped away from us. The field house: someone last year broke something on the roof. The '19' class photo: someone last year was caught smoking in it. Senior quotes: because some previous years have had quotes that were too inappropriate to put in. Somehow or schools system believes in the military ideology of "one crew one screw." In other words, if one person (in this case class) screws up, everyone gets punished for that one groups fault. How is that fair? What did we, as a class, do wrong? If you thought "It's not fair" and "We did nothing wrong" you're correct. So why are WE being punished? In short: we shouldn't be. We shouldn't be held responsible for a previous class' actions. If you want a senior quote in YOUR yearbook, sign this petition.
