prevent men from competing as women in Canadian sports

This is a petition to keep women's sports fair in Canada. There is no reason non-conformity to sex stereotypes should exclude anyone from participating in sports based on sex categories and it makes no sense that non-conformity to sex stereotypes should grant anyone to the rights of the opposite sex (Emily Zinos 2019). Men should not be allowed to take spots in sports away from women. When even one man plays on a female team, the team is no longer female: It changes the whole game. Other female sports organizers have taken steps to protect women. The USA Power lifting has banned all transgender women from competing as women. As Martina Navratilova, world renown tennis star, points out “Hundreds of athletes who have changed gender by declaration and limited hormone treatment have already achieved honours as women that were beyond their capabilities as men, especially in sports in which power rather than skill is paramount.” There is no way a woman can match a man in testosterone, bone density, fast twitch reflexes or heart and lung capacity. Women are loosing out on scholarships, prize money and most importantly an opportunity to play. Women’s sports will never reach the status of men’s sports, we are given less resources and rarely paid for our efforts. I am very disappointed that organizations have dismissed science in attempts to placate men, based on transgender ideology -  that has yet to be defined.
