Get Izeezus back on for the Commencement Speech

Hey everybody, my name is Isaiah Chauhan, more commonly known by people as Izeezus, and I am a senior at Niles West High School.
Despite me getting 1st place in the popular vote for the Commencement Speech,
I have officially been disqualified for contention of the speech; I think there will be a revote between the 3 girls now. The committee interpreted my speech as "unprofessional", and more of a "political campaign" than an actual speech. (I can imagine so many Izeezus haters internally rejoicing right now)
What bothered me the most is that they told me if I got the commencement speech, I would be "hindering the integrity of the process of the commencement speech".
I just wanted to change the game. I never considered this to even be a "speech", I saw this as an opportunity to have a conversation between me and my graduating class. Every year the commencement speech sounds the same; I know for a fact that I can make my speech memorable, as well as culturally significant in this age.
I have no desire to blend in with everybody else.
I didn't want to be that "one person who gives the graduation speech",
I wanted to be different, and as an individual expressing himself to the furthest extent, I wanted to be remembered.
I wanted the class of 17 to be remembered.
2017 is going to go down in history as one of the most important and influential years of ALL TIME. ALL TIME. Creativity is flourishing in this age, and expression is at an all-time high.
Kanye once said, "Picasso is dead. Steve Jobs is dead. [Walt] Disney is dead. Name someone living that you can name in the same breath as them. We’re one race, the human race, we’re a blip in the existence of the universe and we’re constantly trying to pull each other down. It’s like I’m shaking talking about it. I feel I can make a difference while I’m here. I feel I can make a difference through my skill set." -Kanye West
How many times have you been blocked from being able to excel? (Also by Kanye West) Because that's how I feel right now.
I never took this as a joke. I REALLY wanted this, and it shows by the fact that I made the final four!
As of this day, there are 47 days until we leave the halls of Niles West. I believe that out of the 4 contenders, not only did I represent the class of 2017 the best, I believe that I was the most passionate out of those 4. I've wanted this since 8th grade. I was so passionate about getting this speech to the point that I ended up messing up my chances on getting it.
Hey, the haters can say that I threw my chance away by delivering an unprepared, not-so-serious "speech", but I clearly must have done something right (for lack of a better word, influential) to get 1st place in the popular vote, and I confirmed with Dr. Ness today that I was 1st place. I didn't even deliver a full on, prime version of my speech, but the fact that YOU guys voted for me means so much to me, like y'all don't even know. Of course, That doesn't matter now, but I want whoever voted for me to know that I'm so grateful for you, and I thank you.
I'll be honest, I may not know the entire senior class as well as the girls, but I want you guys to know that I love all of y'all. Like I wouldn't be the same person if it weren't for you guys' influence. And in fact, I wouldn't even be in this position, I wouldn't even have had the creative platform without you guys, as there are people that I don't even know who voted for me (I think that's so raw!).
I admit that my speech didn't fully reflect the ideals that I believe in the speech that I gave on Monday, nor did it fully express my vision. And yes, I can understand why people may see it as not-so-serious, as well as partially aggressive. I admit that I was in the wrong, as I caused this problem myself. If you believe that I deserve another chance, thank you.
Say what you want about my speech, but the scoreboards don't lie; the majority of you believed in me to deliver our 2017 class speech, and it honestly means a lot. To think that most of our class confided in me for this is unreal, even with the 3 other girls' speeches that were also in contention.
I personally think it's wack that the school disqualified me because I didn't follow the rules. If no one's willing to take the risk to break rules in order to bring change and make impact, how can we ever advance or progress from a creative standpoint?
If you believe that I deserve to reclaim my title as the 2017 Niles West Commencement Speaker, you know what petition to sign.
Overall I'd just like to thank the majority of you guys once more for wanting me to give the commencement speech. Y'all are dope for that.
