We want 17th Sep, birthday of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji be declared as PRERNA DIVAS. In Narendra Modi, the people of India see a dynamic, decisive and development-oriented leader who has emerged as a ray of hope for the dreams and aspirations of a billion Indians. His focus on development, eye for detail and efforts to bring a qualitative difference in the lives of the poorest of the poor have made Narendra Modi a popular and respected leader, not just across the length and breadth of India but across the world.

Narendra Modi’s life has been a journey of courage, compassion and constant hardwork. At a very young age he had decided to devote his life in service of the people. He displayed his skills as a grass root level worker, an organiser and an administrator during his 13 year long stint as the Chief Minister of his home state of Gujarat, where he ushered a paradigm shift towards pro-people and pro-active good governance.

Narendra Modi’s life journey to the Office of Prime Minister has been inspirational. Born in Vadnagar on 17th of September 1950, Narendra Modiji had a humble background. He was born three years after India had gained its Independence. This makes him the first Prime Minister to be born in independent India. He also has the distinction of being the longest serving Chief Minister of Gujarat with his term spanning from October 2001 to May 2014.

Inspired by the motto of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’, Shri Modi has ushered in a paradigm shift in governance that has led to inclusive, development-oriented and corruption-free governance. The Prime Minister has worked with speed and scale to realise the aim of Antyodaya, or ensuring last-mile delivery of schemes and services.

Leading international agencies have noted that under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, India has been eliminating poverty at record pace. This is attributed to a series of pro-poor decisions taken by the Central Government.

Today, India is home to the world’s largest healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat. Covering over 50 crore Indians, Ayushman Bharat provides top quality and affordable healthcare to the poor and neo-middle class.

Shri Modi’s foreign policy initiatives have realised the true potential and role of world’s largest democracy. Shri Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to embark on a bilateral visit to Nepal after a long period of 17 years, to Australia after 28 years, to Fiji after 31 years and UAE as well as Seychelles after 34 years. Since taking over, Shri Modi attended UN, BRICS, SAARC and G-20 Summits, where India’s interventions and views on a variety of global economic and political issues were widely appreciated.

PM Modi has been conferred various honours including the highest civilian honour of Saudi Arabia Sash of King Abdulaziz. Shri Modi has been also been conferred the top awards of Russia (The Order of the Holy Apostle Andrew the First), Palestine (Grand Collar of the State of Palestine), Afghanistan (Amir Amanullah Khan Award), UAE (Zayed Medal) and Maldives (Rule of Nishan Izzuddeen). In 2018, PM received the prestigious Seoul Peace Prize for his contribution to peace and development.

Narendra Modi’s clarion call for marking a day as ‘International Day of Yoga’ received an overwhelming response at the UN. In a first, a total of 177 Nations across the world came together and passed the resolution to declare 21st June as the ‘International Day of Yoga at the UN.’

We want that not just in India but across the world, people celebrate 17th SEP, the birthday of our Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji be celebrated as PRERNA DIWAS. It would be great honor and respect to Shri Narendra Modiji, who had tirelessly committed his life to the people of this country, and wants to bring positive change in the lives of the people. Let every individual on this day introspect and weed out the disabilities he or she has been carrying. Let every individual focus on positives in his or her life and weed out the negatives plaguing their lives. Let this day be celebrated as PRERNA DIVAS, where they can selflessly commit themselves to the national cause, society and community they can contribute. Let this day be a reminder to people, of building a strong nation which inspires people across the globe. Let the coming generations know, how one individual single handedly changed the fate of India and created the impact globally.
