As a gentleman who was used to hair and beard grooming on a regular basis I am now, ten weeks into lockdown, during this rapid growing season, suffering with an unruly mop (sound familiar Prime Minister?) and given the announcement today that we can now safely travel on England’s public transport provided that we are appropriately masked, I wish to propose that ten to twenty minutes in the presence of a masked barber would be no more, in fact less, hazardous than sitting or standing on the Tube, bus or train for forty-five minutes with dozens of strangers.
