ARC Foundation, Inc. started this petition to Columbia SC Residents

100 Leaders for Non Violence is an initiative created by A Real Chance Foundation, Inc. to recruit residents in the City of Columbia and Richland County, SC who wants to express their desires for absolute peace in the high-crime areas of our communities. In mid-April, reports from federal and state law enforcement agency showed that there were more than 261 gunfire alerts and 810 bullets fired in the north Columbia area. By the end of April, a gun seizure program formed by the City of Columbia police department and Richland County Sheriffs Department confiscated 677 guns. Yet, there are still families and loved ones of victims of very recent murders that were caused by the slowly, decreasing city-wide gang-influence. There is nothing left for us to do to prevent gun violence and senseless murders except unite as a people and spread the spirit of love through this non-violence initiative. Residents of all ages are invited to this initiative. Once a total of 100 persons have signed the petition to implement this initiative; a time and date will be set forth where these 100 persons or more will meet and march during a non-violence rally. We will march with law enforcement, local politicians, community activists and gang reformers. At the end of the march, a special guest speakers will deliver an empowering message to our people.
