One examination doesn't determine the quality of a student's academic performance

The entire human race is going through a terrible phase. In such uncertain and trying times; we expect our teachers, college and university authorities as well as public officials to have a considerate and humane approach. However, the insistence of college authorities to hold the pen and paper examination with total disregard for the mental and physical well-being, personal safety and inconvenience of the students is extremely disheartening. The situation arising out of the global pandemic has led to Lockdown being imposed in our country till May 31st. Trains and flights have been suspended till further notice. Restrictions on Inter state and intra state movement have been imposed. In such a situation where a number of students are not in town, the college has advocated students to return by 15th June to undergo the mandatory 14 days quarantine before appearing for the exams. Since our institution is a women’s college and one which has always worked for our best interest, we seek your intervention and compassionate understanding in this matter.

We request you to have a humanitarian and egalitarian approach by either

·         Postponing the exams till the situation becomes normal or

·         Shifting the exams to the online mode or

·         Promoting all the students based on internal assessment

We, the youth, are the future of every nation. Please let not our lives and future be compromised.

Yours sincerely
