タトゥーでジム入会資格が奪われるのはルッキズム。誰もが差別されることなく、健康にアクセスできる世の中へ！

日本でのスポーツジムや温泉施設でTattoや刺青を禁止というのをよく見ます。

日本では、昔から刺青は暴力団関係者を象徴とするという考えがあるのは事実があるかもしれません。

そして、運営者様がたが問題を避けるために、そう言った人たちを排除したり、他の登録者の人に安心してジムを利用していただきたいという気持ちはわかります。

ですが、最近ではタトゥーをファッションで入れるのが普通なことであり、タトゥーが入っているからその人が問題を起こすような人と判断する事は間違っていると思います。

私自身もタトゥーをおしゃれの１つと考えてていて、10円玉サイズほどのものをいれています。そこでジムに入会しようとした際に、タトゥーが入っているだけで入会はできないと言われました。

実際に理由を聞いても、「それがルールなので。」と言われるだけでした。

この決まりは日本の古い考えでるタトゥー=暴力団、ヤンキーなどという、イメージ、固定概念からきているものだと思います。タトゥーが入っているからその人は問題を起こす人、暴力団関係者である人、周りの人を不快にさせる人と言いきれるのでしょうか？

これは日本にある"刺青=暴力団"のイメージが派生して、タトゥーを入れてる人を差別する立派なルッキズムだと思います。

施設側も今の世の中に合わせて、誰もが使いやすくするために、古いルールは廃止していくべきです。多くの古いルールに縛られているから、こういった施設を若い人が利用しずらい現状があるではないでしょうか？

また、会員ルールをみていると、日本語が話せない方の使用も禁止のような内容もみました。日本語が話せないからといってその人が問題を起こす、迷惑をかけると決めつけるのも間違っているようにも感じます。

特に最近は外国人の方も増えてきているので、施設側が誰もが使いやすいように、努力するべきなのではないでしょうか？

誰もが見た目や能力で差別されることなく、平等にスポーツジムを使えて、自身の健康へのアクセスが障害なくできるようになるべきだと思います。

多くの人が健康に関心を向けてより良い人生を送れるような世の中になることを願っています。

I often see sports gyms and spa rejected the people have tatto in Japan.It may be true that tattoos have been symbolize gang in Japan.I understand that the company want to eliminate those people and let other user feel safe and avoid problems.However, it is common to have tattoos in fashion these days, and I think it is wrong to judge that person as a person who causes problems because They have tattoos.

I personally consider tattoos to be one of the fashionable items. and I also have one its size of a coin. When I tried to join the gym, I was told that I couldn't join just because I had a tattoo.

Even when asked the reason why, I was just told, "Because that is the our rule."

I think this rule comes from the old Japanese stereotype of ​​"tattoos  symbolize "gangs ".

Is it right to judge person who has a tattoo is a person who causes problems, a person who is involved in a gangster, or a person who makes people around uncomfortable?I think this is totally discriminate culture and lookism.The old rules should be stopped so that the everyone can use gym.

Also, looking at the membership rules, I saw that the use of people who do not speak Japanese can.t join. I also feel that it is wrong to assume that a person will cause problems  just because he / she cannot speak Japanese.

Especially since the number of foreigners is increasing recently, shouldn't the facility make efforts to make it easy for everyone to use .I think everyone should be able to use the gym equally and have access to their own health without discrimination based on their appearance or ability.

I hope that many people will be able to care about their health and lead a better life.
