２０１１年の公文書管理法施行を受け、厚労省は戦没者等援護関係資料を国立公文書館に順次移管している。軍人軍属死没者原簿、開拓団在籍名簿、引揚者在外事実調査票など延べ２千万人の記録で、今回発見された７３１部隊について１９５０年作成の公文書も、こうした移管文書の中に含まれていた。公文書のずさんな管理が「桜を見る会」問題で問われている今、歴史を検証可能にする仕組みが求められている。 ...
