നിലവിൽ മലയാളലിപിയിൽ 'za' എന്ന ശബ്ദത്തിനു അനുസരിച്ചു ഒരു അക്ഷരം ഉള്ളതായി അറിവില്ല. 'za' എന്ന ശബ്ദം ഉപയോഗിക്കേണ്ട സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിൽ 'സ' എന്ന അക്ഷരം വച്ച് ഒപ്പിക്കാറാണ് പതിവ്. ഇന്ന് അനേകമാളുകളുടെയും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളുടെയും പേരിലും മറ്റും ഈ ശബ്ദം നിത്യേന ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഈ ശബ്ദം എഴുതാനും മറ്റുമായി യോജിച്ച അക്ഷരം നമുക്കില്ല. ആയതിനാൽ മേൽപറഞ്ഞ കാരണങ്ങൾ പരിഗണിച്ച് 'za' എന്ന ശബ്ദം എഴുതുന്നതിനായി ഒരു പുതിയ അക്ഷരം കണ്ടെത്തണം എന്ന് അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

Currently, there is no letter in Malayalam script for the sound 'za', as per my knowledge. Currently, the sound is approximated using the letter equivalent to the sound of 'sa' while writing. Today, this sound is found in the names of different people and institutions. However, there is a lack of a proper letter to capture this sound. Therefore, the request is to introduce this new letter into the script that can be used for the sound 'za'.
