The COVID-19 commonly know as the coronavirus has been spreading all over the globe originating in Wuhan China market, the virus started around November, December, before it became a world wide crisis it was thought to be known as pneumonia.

It is also considered as a stronger Flu. The Flu can last 3hrs on a doorknob while the coronavirus can last 12hrs, in schools students are always borrowing and sharing materials spreading all types of germs, now that the coronavirus is spreading through Seattle with a cure yet to be found.

Washington was the first case and death in the US now there six US deaths from COVID in Washington State, King County.  Gov. Jay Inslee (D) declared a state of emergency Saturday as more than 231 Washington residents remain under public health supervision. The state has 13 confirmed coronavirus cases overall. Recently an Amazon delivery man has also been confirmed with the coronavirus who knows how many people he has infected from the deliveries he has made.

We are asking the KSD Superintendant, Calvin Watts, and King County Public Health to shutdown  our schools For a while to prevent the spreading of this virus.  In classrooms, the cafeteria and other crowded areas, the virus will inevitably infect people thus increasing the infection rate exponentially, and endangering the students especially the ones with serious health problems such as Asthma. The coronavirus is know to push over the edge for people who have other incurable illnesses.

We are hoping that the Highline district will make responsible decision and close all schools to keep on making our children and families safe.
