The Change.org List Encryption & Upload Tool
The Change.org List Overlap Checker, also known as "Svenn", helps you to encrypt your list and upload the encrypted file to Change.org. We then make sure that the names we send you are only names you don't already have!
To run the List Encryption & Upload Tool, first download and install Adobe Air for your operating system if you do not already have it:
Then, download Svenn, the Encryption & Upload Tool:
Finally, open Svenn on your computer and follow the instructions to install and run the application.
Svenn is a small application that runs locally on your computer. It is fully compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, as well as Mac OS X 10.4 or higher.
At no time during this process will your email list be sent to Change.org. Rather, this application encrypts your email list locally on your computer and only sends the encrypted version to our servers for processing and suppression. And because Svenn is an Adobe Air application, its source code is entirely available for inspection by anyone at your organization that wishes to verify what it is doing.
Svenn's name comes from the idea that your organization's members compared with all Change.org users represents a kind of Venn diagram known as a 'suppression' file, since we suppress those people from any new supporters that you recruit on Change.org.
