Grant one round of ivf treatment to infertile couples, who through no fault of their own need assisted conception.
Vale of York CCG are discriminating against infertile couples, it is unethical. They need to bring their policy in line with the rest of the UK. Many couples that are struggling to conceive, often the result of endometriosis, pcos, auto immune dieseases and other underlying fertilty issues. These people cannot conceive through no fault of their own, not allowing them the opportunity to take this treatment is discriminatory. Vale of York CCG announced that they would grant infertile couples with one round of ivf, this was published in the press, giving many high hopes. This was to be short lived as the CCG backtracked and went back on it's word and on 8th August the press reported that the CCG would no longer offer the treatment. By supporting this petition you can make a difference, it is important that our voices are heard. Postcode lotteries should not exist, it is inconsistent, unfair and discriminatory. Treatment availability should be consistent across the UK. People should not be disadvantaged because of where they live.
