The Women’s Debate serves as a platform to convene a collective voice for women’s rights leading up to the 2016 federal election. We call upon all political candidates to commit to a presidential debate focused exclusively on issues affecting American women and girls, namely: -Elimination of barriers that inhibit equitable participation in the economy; -Access to quality affordable health care opportunities for all; and -Safe and just recourse when confronted with violence and sexual exploitation. It is our vision that gender equality and safety become reality in all spheres of public and private life. By together elevating these issues and introducing them into the national presidential debate, we can help raise awareness and begin to reduce gender inequality. No one organization or individual can do this alone.
