Pledge to support World Food Programme’s efforts to reach infants with critical nutrition

The first 1,000 days of a child’s life can mean the difference between a promising future or one plagued by poor health and stunted growth. Yet around the world, nearly 200 million children are chronically malnourished and suffer from serious, often irreversible, physical and cognitive damage. All of this is preventable. The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is committed to ensuring all children receive the nutrition they need during the first 1,000 days. Last year, WFP reached 7.3 million children under the age of two and 3 million pregnant and nursing mothers with special nutritional support. I pledge to support World Food Programme’s efforts to reach infants with critical nutrition to help secure their future and the future of our planet.

Pledge to Make Hunger History

Food: it’s the basic building block of life. Sadly, 1 in 9 people across the planet will go to bed hungry tonight. To this day, hunger remains the single greatest problem of our time. Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined. But it isn't inevitable. Feeding the world’s hungry is the single greatest cause of our lifetime. It’s the cause that can unite the world, bridge cultural divides and nourish peace and prosperity. I pledge to support World Food Programme’s efforts to feed every hungry child, mother, family and refugee and to make hunger history.
