Your voice for a balanced approach to energy development on public lands.
Colorado's South Park Basin stands out for its natural beauty and valuable resources. Known as a "sportsmen's paradise," the South Park Basin attracts tens of thousands who come to enjoy its hunting, fishing and wildlife. Even more importantly, the South Park Basin and the upper South Platte provide more than 50 percent of Denver metro area's drinking water supply.
The Colorado BLM has created a clear framework for helping preserve the wildlife and waters of the South Park Basin while allowing for sensible development of the area's energy resources.
The BLM recently announced that it will begin a Master Leasing Plan for the South Park Basin. A Master Leasing Plan is a "smart-from-the start" approach to achieve balance between energy development and protecting our outdoor heritage and clean water.
Let BLM know that you support a commonsense approach that benefits our local economies but protects the South Park Basin and Denver's drinking water.
