Melbourne is finally open again and after a long hiatus, The Night Cat is pivoting and converting the car park at the rear of the venue into an outdoor bar – The Night Cat Cantina.
The Night Cat is home to all Melbourne musicians and we want to bring live music back as soon as possible and recreate jobs for local musicians. We appreciate that this has been an unprecedented time for everyone involved and local councils are doing their best to accommodate and pivot with the changing circumstances. We want to ensure that live music doesn’t get lost in the sea of restriction changes and that we are advocated for and supported.
We need your help to aid musicians by bringing live music to the outdoors!
Currently, we are not permitted to host live music outdoors and we need your support to help change this!
We have written consent from all of our surrounding neighbours and at this stage, the council process will take 3 months for approval. As we enter warmer weather, now is the ideal time for outdoor performances and why make artists wait any longer to get back to work?
