The iconic Badley Bridge, our gateway to Ontario’s most beautiful village, is at risk of being demolished and replaced with a modern, concrete structure that lacks character and doesn’t reflect the charm of Elora. Please sign our petition to let Wellington County Council know that preserving this historic structure is important to our heritage. The Badley Bridge was built in the 1950’s and its stunning trusses, adorned with hanging flower baskets and lights, are uncommon for our region. It is an impressive entrance to behold for both local residents and tourists alike. Preserving this unique bridge for future generations is important, and we need your help to ask County Council to consider refurbishing, and not replacing our landmark.
