Save Our NHS Leicestershire
CUTS and privatisation in the health service mean that the NHS is in a permanent crisis. And now the government is planning to cut a further £22bn from its annual budget through what they call “Sustainability and Transformation Plans”. Locally, we are set to lose £400million from the annual budget. This means ongoing deterioration in our service. But as the successful campaign to Save Glenfield Children’s Heart Centre clearly demonstrates, if enough people unite and fight back against unjust proposals, we can win! This is why the steering committee for the Glenfield campaign — which includes NHS patients and staff — is launching a mass campaign across Leicestershire and Rutland to fight back against all NHS cuts. The UK is the 6th richest country in the world — why is our health service being allowed to get worse and worse?
