Cineworld, bring the film I Can Only Imagine to UK after it's opening success in the US
Following the success of the opening weekend of I Can Only Imagine film in the United States, we ask that Cineworld brings the film to the UK to allow for showing in British cinemas. As the largest cinema chain in the UK we ask that you work with Lionsgate film distributors to bring a highly regarded family movie to the UK. The film opened last weekend in the United States and was expected to gross between $2 and $8 million. It's actual gross was over $17 million. Despite only being open in half the number of cinemas than many other films it still came in third as the most popular film in the United States over the weekend only being beaten by Tomb Raider and Black Panther - both of which was showing in more than double the number of cinemas. The film has received great reviews from many critics and had the highest viewer satisfaction rate in the US on it's opening weekend. We believe that there is a market for faith based movies in the UK and we believe that this story of the most successful Christian song of all time will prove to be a popular movie here. While the film is faith based it is also a film that is one of overcoming difficult situations and as such will also appeal to the non-faith market as a film with an optimistic message. Please bring the film to the UK.
