Parents Want Choice to OPT-IN!
Parents, concerned about the emotional and well-being of their children have been left out of this decision making process. Many have strong values which are not respected by these Standards. Parents want real equity in the process. Many are blindsided when they learn their children have been taught ideologies and information they deem inappropriate. This is wrong and biased against these families. We petition the US Department of Education, to provide an OPT-IN requirement, not OPT-OUT for courses pertaining to controversial and sensitive materials, programs, and curriculum used in the health curriculum. Opt-Out puts parents on the defense. Often, even with a request on file, students are exposed to assemblies, outside speakers, and curriculum from which their parents have requested an exemption. The default has to be OPT-OUT, giving parents choice and peace of mind knowing their children will not be exposed to medically inaccurate, unhealthy and age inappropriate teaching without their knowledge or consent. OPT-IN protects the school and board members from unnecessary law suits if a student is mistakenly exposed to such curriculum. It is a Win/Win for both schools and parents. Attention to this matter will not go without appreciation and support of our communities, providing real equity for all parents, and students. STOP! DRAG QUEEN STORY HOURS FOR CHILDREN IN PUBLIC LIBRARIES
HELP PARENTS' RIGHTS IN EDUCATION STOP! DRAG QUEEN STORY HOURS! Drag Queens say, “kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.” YOUR TAX DOLLARS PAY FOR IT The American Library Association (ALA) is actively encouraging libraries across the United States to host “Drag Queen Story Hours.” So far, at least 27 locations in 20 states are participating in the story hours. These story hours are taking place in children’s libraries often, against the wishes of parents in the community! The ALA touts “tolerance,”and yet discriminate against those who don't want their children indoctrinated by the gender agenda. NOT SAFE, HEALTHY, and AGE-APPROPRIATELibraries should be a safe environment for all children, and sexually exploitative material should not be acceptable as education or entertainment. “Gender fluid” drag queens read stories about gender identity, telling children to explore their “preferred pronouns,” encouraging them to become Drag Queens. TODAY THE LIBRARY, TOMORROW YOUR CHILD's SCHOOLWith the comprehensive sexuality education standards required in public schools today, gender identity is the norm. School districts have adopted gender inclusion policies inserting gender ideology into the school experience of every child demanding conformity from the entire community, and defining a New Normal, the transgender normal. Included are specific language, changes in appearance, and differences in associations such as gendered groups: all supporting children's timeline for "transition." Intended to protect transgendered students, gender inclusion policies force everyone else to change: thoughts, speech, attitudes, even where no transgender children are enrolled.
