Climate Sanity in Education
Dear educators, Education is pivotal to a young person's attitude in life. With this petition we (i.e those signing the online petition) beseech you to ensure the climate emergency narrative in schools is not cultivating a demoralizing sense of doom and hopelessness that might undermine their motivation. Disinformation today could even be leading some to become desperate eco-terrorists, or contribute to youth suicides. Please help them keep a balanced and informed perspective: CO2 is not toxic and not a pollutant. CO2 is essential to life. Atmospheric CO2 had decline to dangerously low levels. Burning fossil fuel restores carbon to where it came from. For most of Earth's history life thrived in a warmer climate. Life thrived with more CO2 than there is today. Raising atmospheric CO2 is greening our planet. If we prepare for it rather than fight it, changing climate need not be life threatening. Climate change is dominated by solar cycles, beyond our control. Proposed measures have negative side effects. Our government's proposals will cripple our industry. They will promote economies of the worst offenders. Many people believe that free-market economy will regulate the declining fossil fuel far more effectively than incentives and penalties imposed by legions of bureaucrats guided by politicians. Please teach our kids not to get swept along by hysterical political propaganda. Please help them to understand the reality and the science behind climate change, so they too can make informed decisions for their future. Please share this petition with your staff, colleagues, pupils, or your teacher. from http://ngaro.online?g
drop the climate emergency
Thank you for your e-mail “tax, tax and more tax” earlier today. You say National supports greening the vehicle fleet through incentives, not penalties. You say your polices saw the number of electric vehicles on our roads increase hugely. Well … I don’t support “greening the vehicle fleet”, because New Zealand simply doesn’t have a problem with vehicle emissions. Electric vehicles might well suit urban commuters, but they are not fit for our economy that is based on agriculture, while commuters need incentives to leave the car at home rather than congesting city centers at rush hour. Incentives are just like taxes, because ultimately our country has to pay for them one way or the other, so I think electric vehicles should pay road usage charges just like the diesel vehicles. We need a government with the courage to defend our economy against international competition from countries who really don’t care about green issues, especially because "climate emergency" is a myth, CO2 is essential to life on Earth and the free market will regulate more effectively than an army of bureaucrats.
New Zealand to decline UN migration compact
We, the undersigned respectfully request that New Zealand declines to sign the UN migration compact. We do not believe it should be illegal to criticize migration and neither do we think it is a fundamental human right for people from other countries to come to our country and take advantage of our social services, education system, health care and any other amenities. We are concerned about potential impact on wages and employment opportunities for our own children, we are concerned about the erosion of our own culture, we are concerned about the spread of diseases that are not yet common here, about international crime syndicates and above all we are deeply concerned by the apparent lack of candor on shown by our elected representatives. In our opinion extending hospitality to others must remain at our nations sovereign discretion.
