Flight Training Adelaide, owned by Young Brothers of Hong Kong have made an application for a flight training facility to be built at Port Lincoln Airport. Similar to operations at Parafield airport. Proposed flights averaging 178 per day, 365 days a year, 7am to 11pm weekdays, and 8am to 10pm weekends. Currently there are 10 commercial flights a day. A trial is currently in progress with noise frequency and levels disruptive to everyday enjoyment of life, effecting mental health, learning outcomes for children at Poonindie School and dangerous disruption to other aircraft. We, the undersigned, object to the use of Port Lincoln Airport as a major flight training facility. We oppose the development application 932/E003/19 currently with South Australian Planning Commission. We declare there should be no further development or expansion of FTA flight training facilities in our council area.
