Kulungile, which means "all is well" in Zulu, is a Non Profit (number 102-718) under South African law which was started by Sister Abegail Ntleko. Sister Abe has worked for over 50 years in community service, and founded a home for 80+ AIDS orphans in her local town of Underberg, KwaZulu, South Africa. She is currently aiming to secure a new home for her 20+ children who she has adopted. Sister Abe is winner of the 2009 Unsung Hero Award from His Holiness the Dalai Lama and has also won ShopRite and Checkers Woman of the Year National Award in South Africa. A book has been written about her life called 'Empty Hands" and her work can be seen and supported through the web link here. Kulungile's Mission Statement: Kulungile seeks equal access to healthcare, social care, education and a safe loving home without the threat of discrimination, exploitation and abuse. We aim to provide a safe, loving home to orphans and vulnerable children and to provide carers with the parenting skills needed to achieve these aims.
