International Medical Corps is a global humanitarian nonprofit organization dedicated to saving lives and relieving suffering through health care training and medical relief programs. Established in 1984 by volunteer United States doctors and nurses, International Medical Corps is a private, nonpolitical, nonsectarian organization. Its mission is to improve the quality of life through health interventions and related activities that build local capacity worldwide. By offering training and health care to local populations and medical assistance to people at highest risk, and with the flexibility to respond rapidly to emergency situations, International Medical Corps rehabilitates devastated health care and economic systems and helps bring them back to self-reliance.

Support Access to Basic Health Care for Refugees

More than 590,000 men, women and children have left behind their homes and crossed the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe in 2015, hoping to find safety from violence and conflict. Access to basics like food, clean water and medicine can be difficult in the makeshift camps where refugees gather. International Medical Corps is providing lifesaving medical care and mental health support to refugees in dozens of countries in Europe, the Middle East, and around the world. And they are training local health workers as part of every response, so those communities are better able to provide for their needs in the future. Sign the pledge that you stand with International Medical Corps, and support access to basic health care for those fleeing violence in their own countries. Your public support of refugee relief efforts is critical to bringing attention to the suffering and needs of those who have already lost so much to war and conflict.

We Must Stop Ebola

While many people think the fight against Ebola ended long ago, International Medical Corps is still working to prevent another wide-spread Ebola outbreak. International Medical Corps and the local health workers they have trained are working to get to zero new cases, engaging communities in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea in their recovery as they struggle with the longer-lasting social and economic impacts of Ebola, helping to restore devastated health care systems, and working to be better prepared for the next Ebola outbreak. Sign the pledge to show that you stand with International Medical Corps and local health workers in Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea, and support our ongoing work to help patients survive, train health workers and the public in infection prevention and stop future Ebola epidemics.
