On Tuesday 28th February 2017, the BBC will hold a Party Leaders' Debate ahead of the Northern Ireland Assembly election. The Green Party have not been invited.
The Green Party are standing a candidate in every constituency at this election. They are the only party to do so who will not be represented at this debate.
In previous years, non-traditional parties have had - at the very least - an opportunity to present their case in a post-debate discussion programme. The BBC have cancelled that this year.
This means that despite every metric suggesting that the Green Party's support has surged since the last election, they will have less coverage on TV.
We think that this is unacceptable, and we are calling on the BBC to be fair and invite the Greens.
