Knowsley Council are proposing to sell off a third of this Green Flag Award Park for building development for reasons of 'austerity'; a park with a history and heritage that can be traced back to 1783. Court Hey Park is regarded as a good quality park essential to meet the well-being of towns and urban-villages. It is a popular green-space rich in biodiversity (second only in North Merseyside to Formby Point) with a Local Wildlife Site; a place to engage with Nature. It is popular with local walkers and cyclists, bowls players and cricketers with an adventure playground and swing park. There is a shared sense of civic identity which can be sustained by effective partnerships with the public, private and voluntary sectors. This park deserves your support: say no to the developers.
