STOP unfair parking tickets in Bedford!

To the local residents and visitors of Bedford WE need your help in getting the right support from the council to resolve unfair parking charges within Bedford including around the town centre.  Although WE understand that parking tickets are put in place for the safety of others, the council are using bullying techniques to try and get residents to cough up parking charges which is not right and something should be done to stop it. If your sick of being harassed by the council for unfair parking tickets then please share and sign this petition. Enough is enough and your voice will be heard.

Keep the Ford End Road bridge open!

To the local residents of Bedford The Ford End Road bridge in Queens Park, Bedford will be closed for a period of six months (Feb to August 2018). Network Rail has stated both lanes will be completed shut due to essential railway improvements.  The bridge was closed towards the end of last year but needs to be finished over the next few months. As a result, it will make congestion worse with no lanes opened compared to one last time. This will also be inconvenient for commuting to a place of work or school. However, it would be useful if the bridge was open with one lane and if possible open during peak hours as this would help reduce congestion compared to going all the way round using the alternative routes - Hurst Grove, Bromham and Ashburnham Road.  Please share and sign this petition with those affected as it is unfair and will cause an inconvenience for a period of months for local residents. We understand Network Rail have to improve the railway, but not at the cost of residents.

Officially make Chocolate Toothpaste a Bedford thing!

If your a Bedfordian, you know chocolate toothpaste.  Some of us were lucky enough to have these bad boy desserts as part of school dinners. Luckily enough, they are still around but not as much as we would like them to be.  Only selected bakeries in Bedford and surrounding have them available which doesn't do the delicious toothpaste tart justice. There is nothing to suggest chocolate toothpaste belonging to Bedford even though it has around for some time.  Let's make it official by letting people know about this fantastic Bedford dessert - something we are extremely proud of.

Give the Dinky Donut lady an award or recognition!

To Bedford and beyond We need your help in getting a recognition or award for the lovely Lina, known by most as the Dinky Donut lady. Lina has been in the heart of Bedford opposite Marks & Spencer's on Midland Road in Bedford Town Centre for a very long time. She is well known for her lovely donuts and amazing personality which lights up the town! However, not much recognition has been shown by businesses and the council for such a lovely, friendly, sweet, kind, happy and caring character.   Bedford is different because of characters such as Lina so we urge you to share this petition with everyone you know to show their support and to get the recognition Linda deserves.
