    Petitioning Gaelic Athletic Association

Reclaim the GAA - repeal the ban of Palestinian flags at GAA games!

Recently the GAA's Ulster Council banned the flying of Palestinian flags at Ulster GAA games - this in the aftermath of Israel's latest round of slaughter which resulted in the murder of 62 Palestinian protesters with over 3000 more injured. Ulster GAA fans responded by flying Palestinian flags by the dozen at the Tyrone-Monaghan Ulster championship game. Today a man was arrested for flying the flag in Pairc Tailteann in Navan at the Meath and Tyrone All-Ireland Qualifier. The flag is not illegal - it was flown by Dublin City Council off their city hall!  We, the signatories of this petition, express our disappointment at today's incident and we call for the GAA to immediately reject the decision made by the Ulster Council and to repeal the ban of the flying of Palestinian flags. The GAA was born out of oppression and supporters, the heartbeat of the GAA, should be allowed to show solidarity with oppressed peoples across the world.
