Tell the Supreme Court: It’s Time for Marriage Equality

      Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee

Big news: the Supreme Court will soon decide on marriage equality for the first time. And no matter how they rule, their opinion will impact millions of LGBT Americans for decades to come.

That’s why we’re collecting 50,000 signatures for full marriage equality. It’s time to show the Court that Americans demand a society where everyone has the freedom to marry the person they love.

I’m pledging my support for full marriage equality, and demanding that the Supreme Court does the same.

We should be free to love who we want without fear of loosing what should be our basic human right of equality for all.

It's important because all people should have the right to marry who they love. Hetero, Homo, Transsexual. Marriage Equality does not threaten traditional marriage or families, it is another option, but its a needed option because without it, its unfair to non heterosexuals.

Because I am a woman, I must make unusual efforts to succeed. If I fail, no one will say, "She doesn't have what it takes." They will say, "Women don't have what it takes." ~Clare Boothe Luce

I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a door mat or a prostitute. ~Rebecca West, "Mr Chesterton in Hysterics: A Study in Prejudice," The Clarion, 14 Nov 1913, reprinted in The Young Rebecca, 1982

Women have been taught that, for us, the earth is flat, and that if we venture out, we will fall off the edge. ~Andrea Dworkin

The emotional, sexual, and psychological stereotyping of females begins when the doctor says, "It's a girl." ~Shirley Chisholm

Being homosexual myself, I know that this is no choice, nor a stain that can be cleaned. The people who fight these rights are the same people who said these kinds of fabrications against race and gender equality, and look where they are. I believe it's time we're given our dues as with many others.
